PowerSim open-sourced: differentiable physics simulation with ray-traced reflections
anand_bhattad · x · 2026-10-04
The official code for the paper PowerSim: Differentiable Physics Simulation and Rendering with Power Diagrams is now live on GitHub.
- PowerSim couples a pre-trained PowerFoam scene with the Material Point Method (MPM) into a differentiable physics simulation framework
- It supports physically interacting with objects in captured scenes, recovering per-region material properties, and combining objects from separately captured scenes into one simulation
- It can ray-trace reflections on dynamic scenes that change as objects move and deform
- Checkpoints and assets are hosted on Hugging Face (Tung11/PowerSim), with setup scripts and example simulation commands in the repo
