The AI slop loop: agents rewriting each other's junk, and thin context is the root cause
IgorCarron · x · 2026-10-03
A French tech commentator argues the tech world is about a year ahead of everyone else: first, everyone mass-produces slop, no one reads each other's output because there's too much, so they hand it to their agent, which slopifies it further.
The key insight: your agent produces slop because you don't give it enough context — a prompt like "write a book to win the Goncourt prize" clearly isn't enough. Escaping the slop loop means feeding agents proper background and constraints.
