Dev runs 40-50 coding agents in parallel, ditches local coding for cloud sandboxes

At Supabase Select, Amjad Masad argued developers should run 20-30 coding agents at once: laptops run out of resources, and coding locally is an attack surface — cloud environments isolate threats like npm malware. Replying, Hank Yeomans says he now runs 40-50 agents in parallel across 60-70 threads, merging 3,000 PRs a week. The cited Replicas product runs Claude Code and Codex in isolated cloud sandboxes per agent, claiming to have fully eliminated local coding.
