Stardock launches Clairvoyance AI tool, says it may become its top revenue source

Stardock, the 33-year-old studio behind Galactic Civilizations and Sins of a Solar Empire, has unveiled Clairvoyance, an AI productivity tool for game developers. Founder Brad Wardell says it has a good chance of becoming "by far the biggest source of revenue" for the company.
Key points:
- Runs locally: Clairvoyance works directly on the user's machine, letting AI staff open real projects, build them, run them, and hand back finished work — not just describe what to do from a browser tab.
- Internal origins: It started as an in-house tool to get more out of AI in Stardock's own game development and live ops, orchestrating cloud-code terminals, storing generated data consistently, and importing art assets into custom engines.
- Expanding scope: Capabilities grew to asset imports, document-to-CSV conversion, localization workflows, and more.
- Business angle: Stardock monetizes it externally while using it internally — an interesting pivot for a veteran game company.
