IB analyst builds equity research platform M-Terminal with Claude Code in 2 months
nikhil_pratap · reddit · 2026-10-02
An investment banking analyst built M-Terminal, an end-to-end financial research and equity research platform, with Claude Code over 2 months of evenings and weekends.
It covers company intelligence, financial diagnostics, earnings-call analysis (guidance, tone, red flags), DCF valuation (WACC/FCFF/terminal value), sensitivity and scenario analysis, and structured research outputs — e.g. a 12-page Infosys report with a FY27E-FY36E DCF model.
Claude Code was used throughout, not just for snippets: requirement → inspect codebase → implement → test → debug → visual review → iterate. It even helped produce the promo film. The platform is free to try at mterminal.onrender.com.
