Brave Origin goes free on Linux, with Graphene and F-Droid deals in the works

Brave's paid, minimalist browser Brave Origin is now $0 on Linux, and CEO Brendan Eich says similar free arrangements are being worked out for Graphene, F-Droid and similar platforms—"pay if you want to." Eich also outlined Brave's revenue mix: search API, browser ads, premium products and crypto deals. Developer gnukeith claims credit for pitching the idea of making the paid build free in open-source communities.
