LAHacks build Residue uses acoustic analysis and AI agents to personalize your study environment

Residue, a LAHacks project, is a personalized acoustic-intelligence study app. Students pick a mode (Focus/Calm/Creative/Social), and the app analyzes the ambient soundscape against privacy-preserving productivity signals to build a focus profile: optimal volume range, which frequency profiles correlate with productivity, whether a room is too loud/quiet, and whether screen inactivity hurts sessions. It then recommends or generates soundscapes and matches study buddies. Stack: acoustic analysis, AI agents, MongoDB.
