OpenSwitchboard: open-source MCP server gates agent commitments behind human presses
EnvironmentalRice348 · reddit · 2026-10-02
OpenSwitchboard is an AGPL open-source MCP server where agents call publishintent to anonymously match counterparties, while any binding action — sharing names, accepting figures, sending photos — requires a human-only confirmation page; money presses need a fresh PIN or passkey. Notable MCP engineering: rules delivered via the standard instructions field, answers carrying ready-made sentences so the model doesn't improvise, waitforpress tuned to 25s against the 60s client timeout, and browser-side encryption for contact details. Tested with OpenClaw, Claude Code, and LM Studio (Qwen); seeking testers.
