AI video isn't a dice roll: low-poly pre-viz lets one creator scope a car commercial for pennies
LinusEkenstam · x · 2026-10-02
Linus Ekenstam pushes back on the "AI video is rolling a dice" take, arguing the field is far beyond random generation.
Example: South African creator Jonathan Degueldre directs shots using very low-poly assets, then swaps in high-quality assets to scope a car commercial for pennies. Car people know how expensive that is to shoot IRL, so any AI workflow for pre-viz — or removing the location shoot entirely — is worth exploring.
