ModernSlides: an entire slide deck in one JSON, presented straight from the browser
Afinetheorem · x · 2026-10-02
Economist Kevin Bryan has updated ModernSlides, his free browser-based presentation tool. The whole deck, including embedded images, lives in a single JSON file, runs as raw HTML, and publishes to your own website with one click—no more USB keys. Design and content are fully separated: you write slides in a tiny plain-text syntax, and themes handle layout. It supports multi-column layouts, tables, LaTeX math, step-by-step reveals, speaker notes, and keyboard shortcuts for edit/present/fullscreen/print modes.
