mhctools: one Python wrapper for a dozen MHC immunoinformatics predictors
iskander · x · 2026-10-02
The author open-sourced mhctools, a Python library that wraps many immuno-informatics predictors—NetMHCpan, MHCflurry, Pepsickle, DeepTAP, ERAMER, BigMHC, PRIME and more—behind a single predict() call. Swapping predictors is a one-line change and comparisons return a DataFrame. Docs include a predictor matrix organized by task (binding affinity, surface presentation, cleavage, T-cell response, TCR recognition), warn that several models underperform their papers, and ship a RandomBindingPredictor null baseline. Install via pip.
