He argues the current alert-only FinOps model for LLMs is fundamentally flawed: native dashboards only alert after a threshold is crossed and lag by hours, so a 3 AM email does nothing to stop the bleeding. The fix he proposes is a hard proxy-level ceiling that drops the connection before requests reach the provider once the budget is blown. He's soliciting other approaches to strict billing caps for agentic workflows.
