Bay Area artists park Titanic-themed 'What Iceberg?' protest sculpture at OpenAI event entrance

Two artists from Berkeley's Odd Friend Studio unveiled 'What Iceberg?', a table-sized installation placed at the public entrance to an OpenAI developer event in San Francisco.
The 5-foot-tall sculpture, described as showing 'OpenAI's leaders and investors escaping a sinking ship with unimaginable wealth, while everyone else is left to face the cost of AI,' was built over five days from papier mâché, cardboard, paint, and a repurposed table — a concrete sample of AI-industry protest culture.
