Raspberry Pi's $30 Smart Display Module Ships With Optional Hailo AI Acceleration

Raspberry Pi announced that its Smart Display Module is now on sale for $30. The board is an adapter for the Compute Module 5, developed with Sharp Display Solutions Europe, and complies with the Intel Smart Display Module (SDM) spec, supporting 4K video playback and internal power, video, audio, data and control connections when slotted into compatible displays.
It includes an on-board M.2 expansion slot for high-speed storage or AI acceleration via a Hailo processor or other compatible accelerators. The fanless, silent design targets 24/7 operation in flight information display systems, wayfinding, and retail and corporate signage, and can pair with Intel SDM projectors for exhibits and immersive experiences.
