Venice's tokenized inference-credit model is being copied — and oversupply looms

Crypto commentator 0xJeff observes that Venice's VVV<>DIEM tokenomics is being widely adopted: first Orbio on RHC, now the entire Bittensor subnets ecosystem is embracing "burn Alpha tokens, get Gamma tokens" — tokenized usage credits tied to specific subnets' goods and services.
His take: the deflationary mechanic is good utility, but if everyone does it, the tokenized credits market becomes hard to scale, with too much supply chasing limited demand. Great for inference buyers, less so for sellers forced to cut prices. And since Venice already dominates tokenized inference credits to a degree, competing with DIEM will be tough. He'd rather see usage credits folded into the same token, as Dolphin plans with POD.
