AI voice agents now settle medical bills in one call — voice is the easy part

AI voice agents can now settle a patient's medical bill in one call: explain the charge, answer insurance questions, and text the payment link while the patient is on the line. Healthcare gave up on calling patients about small balances years ago because staff time cost more than the revenue.
The builder argues most teams underestimate the work — "voice is the easy part":
- Load the full case before dialing: visit details, what insurance paid and why, every prior payment and cross-channel message. Most engineering lives here.
- Give the agent tools that write to real systems, not just read.
A solid case study of deploying voice agents in high-friction, compliance-heavy domains.
