Claude Code skips RAG and just uses grep — simplicity wins again

OfirPress notes Claude Code doesn't use RAG either — grep-based retrieval turned out to be surprisingly good, and simplicity won again. srchvrs jokes it's "GRAG" (GRep-augmented generation), but it's still RAG with grep as the retriever. An interesting data point on coding-agent architecture: you may not need a vector store.
