Penn Math Prof Fed Claude His Old Papers for 40 Hours—Got a 10-Page Preprint and 60 Slides

A Penn professor ran an experiment before giving a talk on using AI for math research: over 40 hours, he fed Claude a half-dozen of his unloved old papers on Euler calculus and asked it to generate new results, find hidden applications outside math, and build deeper connections in pure math.
Output: three research directions, about six potential applications, and a 10-page preprint of a geometric analysis result that "looks solid after a few reads." Claude also screenshotted slides from his old talk and built a 60-slide PowerPoint deck in his style, complete with original images and videos.
