Sam Altman on risk and action: people have terrible risk calculus, and the real problem is not taking enough risk—especially early in a career. Being young, unknown and poor is actually a gift in terms of how much risk you can take, and most people don't capitalize on it.
Real risk, he argues, is doing something you'll regret for life—people regret inaction far more than action. Strive to be a doer, not a talker: many dabble in projects without ever going all in on one. "History belongs to the doers."
