A musician describes using Opus 5.5 to model a Teenage Engineering OP-1 synth in 3D and produce a promo video ("DOP-1") set to one of his own beats:
- Workflow: he uploaded an mp3 and had Claude build an artifact page where he could drop comments on track sections, marking key moments, motion, speed, timing, and camera angles; the result took hours of micro-adjustments, not a one-shot prompt
- Modeling: high-detail 3D models were built from reference photos, including the po-33, SP-404, and MPC 2000XL; he plans to publish a photo-to-3D skill and stresses that determinism and measurement go a long way
- Alternative: importing the GLB into Blender with a camera path, or driving Blender renders via MCP, would likely be more efficient
- Notable quirk: reference objects were refused in the Claude desktop app and CLI but modeled fine on the Claude web design site
