AI is breaking the link economy: the old funnel of content → search → click → monetize is becoming content → AI consumes → AI answers → no click.
If AI becomes the interface to information, publishers need a way to measure and monetize machine consumption of their content — otherwise the click-based content economy loses its foundation.
