A demo of 'video via code': Claude Opus 5.5 can't generate video, but from one detailed prompt specifying scenes, timing, visuals, and audio, it wrote 4,000 lines of React/TypeScript (Remotion) in 85 minutes — every visual drawn in SVG/Canvas, plus open-source TTS voiceover and a Python-synthesized score — producing a 40-second animated film about the OpenAI/Anthropic/Google/xAI race, with no clear winner as of September 2026. The shift: models generate the code that generates frames, building the things they can't do themselves.
