Bittensor lead: commercial inference revenue must come before decentralized training ambitions

Responding to criticism that Bittensor should prioritize open-weight decentralized models, markjeffrey argues that what puts Bittensor on the map is commercial product success at scale. Inference is the obvious first battleground now, with the flywheel being revenue > token buys > miner expansion. Decentralized training, vision, genomics, pharma, storage and bandwidth will follow and may even surpass inference — but commercial revenue must come first.
