Victor Taelin asked Dario Amodei whether datacenters with 500k GPUs could reliably emulate cell biology well enough to skip wet labs, or whether AIs could optimize simulation software instead.
Sauers pushed back: "We don't even know what's happening inside a cell, much less how to simulate it" — arguing that our fundamental understanding of cells, not compute, is the bottleneck.
