CodeMidas: Turning Raw Source Code into Executable RL Environments for Coding Agents
burny_tech · x · 2026-09-23
A new arXiv paper, CodeMidas: Scaling Agentic Coding RL Environments from Code Itself, proposes converting raw source code directly into executable RL training tasks, enabling large-scale construction of reinforcement learning environments for agentic coding.
RL training on these generated environments improved MiMo-V2.5 across five diverse coding benchmarks. The approach is directly applicable for teams training coding agents or building automated synthetic verification data across multiple programming languages.
