GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna land in GitHub Copilot, expanding OpenAI's lineup to three

GitHub announced that OpenAI's GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna are now available in GitHub Copilot, joining the previously released GPT-6 Astra.
- GPT-6 Sol: a balanced model for interactive and agentic coding, suited to multistep validation-heavy dev tasks
- GPT-6 Luna: a lightweight, cost-efficient option for small, fast tasks — the cheapest in the GPT-6 family
Sol is available on Copilot Pro+, Max, Business, and Enterprise; Luna on Pro and above. Both are billed on usage-based billing and selectable in the model picker across VS Code, Visual Studio, Copilot CLI, JetBrains, Xcode, GitHub Mobile, and more. Enterprise/Business admins can manage access via model policy. Rollout is gradual.
