An ICLR 2027 submitter argues AI-assisted paper flooding is stretching peer review to breaking point and proposes two fixes: hard-cap first-author submissions to under 3 papers (co-author cap 10) so only the strongest work gets submitted, and require exhaustive, granular empirical documentation in appendices — since nobody reproduces code and AI-written claims fall apart when forced into fine-grained detail. He doubts anyone can produce 10+ truly dense first-author papers a year even with modern AI tooling.
