A ChatGPT user reports OpenAI is A/B testing a new "Editor" feature that restores the core experience of Canvas, the beloved collaborative writing workspace that was replaced by the poorly received Writing Blocks. The new Editor, running on GPT-5.6, offers full-screen document view, direct in-text editing, section-level AI revisions, whole-draft rewrites, undo/redo and formatting. It hasn't rolled out broadly yet.
