Judea Pearl, AI's causal reasoning pioneer, turns 90 as UCLA hosts symposium

UCLA's Newsroom reports on Pearl@90, a daylong symposium marking the 90th birthday of Judea Pearl, the Turing Award winner who transformed how scientists and machines reason about probability and causation. Over 50 colleagues and former students gathered at UCLA, his academic home for 56 years, with tributes organized by protégés including Elias Bareinboim, Rina Dechter and Hector Geffner.
