China data center power to hit 774 TWh by 2030, US 649 TWh, forecasts say

Citing Kyle Chan quoting Wood Mackenzie: China's data center electricity demand is expected to quadruple to 774 TWh (6% of total consumption) by 2030, while US data center demand reaches 649 TWh (12% of US power). Blogger teortaxesTex suspects both figures — especially the US one — are underestimates.
