Decentralized AI platform Chutes (Parallax) shared a big update after three quiet weeks: Christian Hyland (ex-Coinbase, Toku, First Wave AI) is the new CEO; Parallax is pretraining an 8B MoE model fully in public with live fleet metrics; an engineer previewed 15.5k output tok/s inference on a single RTX 5090 (unoptimized branch); a training node ran off two solar blankets, Starlink and a DGX Spark in a field under 200 watts; and a new confidential VM shipped with reproducible, byte-identical builds across four Linux builds. The team appears next at Exploit Summit in Montreal.
