Austin Chen proposes 'Total Safety Transparency' for the AI safety movement

Responding to AI 2040's 'Total Research Transparency' proposal for labs, Manifund's Austin Chen argues the AI safety movement should itself publish its funding, relationships, and coordination tactics. His arguments: transparency advocates should model the norm they demand; publicity binds you to virtuous behavior; stylometry and cheap intelligence make privacy illusory anyway; and transparency was a founding cornerstone of the movement.
