jev-model-router routes Claude Code between models using new function hooks

A new early-access mod called jev-model-router builds on Claude Code's newly introduced function hooks. Before every turn, it consults Jev on three questions: how mechanical the task is, how much reasoning it needs, and whether it's risky. Based on the answers it routes dynamically — escalating to a stronger model when evidence is weak, and only dropping to a cheaper one when confident — trading off quality vs. cost automatically.
One open question raised in replies: whether hand-pinned models are respected, highlighting that reconciling auto-routing with explicit user preferences is still unresolved.
