AI infrastructure for manufacturing: notes from IMTS show why the author turned bullish

The author was skeptical two years ago about AI's impact on manufacturing, since AI then meant LLMs with text in/out — text wraps work but isn't the work itself. Much has changed, and she's never been more excited about AI reshaping how plants and products are built. Last week she moderated an IMTS Chicago panel on AI infrastructure in manufacturing with Praveen Rao (Google Cloud) and Shiv Trisal.
