LukeW: Using the humble ALT tag to fix irrelevant image retrieval in AI replies

Luke Wroblewski details how his personal AI app Ask LukeW rarely included relevant images in answers despite a full ingestion pipeline (AI-generated titles/descriptions plus semantic and keyword retrieval). The culprit: generic auto-generated captions. By writing purposeful ALT tags that capture each image's actual context, he dramatically improved image relevance and broke up walls of AI-generated text.
