Thorsten Ball lays out his beliefs on software development's future: code review is already dead, unit tests may follow (he's had a model write 900 lines of Arduino C that compiled and ran perfectly on first try), and most bugs will be "you asked for the wrong thing" bugs. The craft of writing code disappears, but building software matters more than ever; open source in its current form no longer makes sense with "artificial eyeballs." Amp engineer rseroter says he can't honestly disagree with any of it.
