A senior Intel employee's market take: everyone is building ARM CPUs (AWS Graviton, Microsoft Cobalt) but ARM licenses constrain design; RISC-V is free but legacy-less. AI ubiquity requires cost drops or human brains stay cheaper. 'Agentic CPU' is marketing — what matters is concurrent queries per socket, needing cache, memory and I/O bandwidth scaling. The CPU shortage is real: real work still needs CPUs.
