An open-source VS Code extension, Chat Seek, lets you find past Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode conversations by describing them in plain language.
- Indexes local messages, shortlists candidates by keywords, then uses the Laya local decision model (Jev-style) to judge relevance
- Results open as readable conversation excerpts in VS Code; no chat text leaves your machine
- Packaged VSIX currently targets Linux x64 with Node 20+
