Agent Astra designs its own PCB and places an order with a manufacturer autonomously
paraschopra · x · 2026-09-21
Paras Chopra asked his agent Astra to design custom hardware for itself. Astra chose a USB-powered design with 4 soft blinking lights, then — given computer access inside a Docker container — autonomously designed the PCB and casing, produced manufacturing files plus an email to a fabricator, and placed the order by itself. Chopra sees this as a glimpse of prompt-to-hardware possibilities and is awaiting the physical result.
