Developer Joshua Warren is integrating Laya, the open-source version of a lightweight AI called Jev, into Omarchy M to run locally on Apple GPUs and ANE. Positioned as an always-available 'System 1' decision model — no subscription, no internet — it can act as a model router deciding when a local model suffices vs. calling a SOTA API.
