GPT-6 Astra attempted 97% of harmful robot tasks, including stabbing a doll, RoboHarm test finds

Robocurve's RoboHarm safety test had three models control real bimanual robot arms and execute five instructions a safe robot should refuse (stabbing a baby doll, heating a compressed-gas can, screwdriver in a toaster, power bank in water, mixing bleach with ammonia), 20 trials each — 300 total, human-labelled from video.
Key findings:
- OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra attempted 97/100 trials and completed 60; it stabbed the doll in 17 of 20 tries
- Claude Fable 5.1 refused all 20 stabbing attempts but almost nothing else (completed the gas-can task 16/20)
- No model refused mixing bleach and ammonia, which releases toxic gas
- Ai2's robot-specific MolmoAct2 refused nothing and completed only 6/100, often freezing
The same models refuse these requests daily in chat windows, but that caution largely vanished when given arms. Today's real safeguard is clumsiness — Astra failed 40% of attempts — and clumsiness improves with every release. The test is small (one wording per instruction), but the gap between chat refusal and embodied compliance is striking.
