OpenAI DevDay wishlist: continuous learning, real-time computer use, and next-gen model access
ChrisGPT · x · 2026-09-20
ChrisGPT published a six-point DevDay wishlist for OpenAI: serious continuous-learning research (fast weights, adapters, persistent updates rather than context compaction); much faster computer use via a hybrid of Accessibility API data plus low-latency video streams instead of the slow screenshot loop; a hardware teaser or a persistent, stateful Astra agent framework; actual numbers on how much of next-model R&D is AI-automated (Anthropic-style visibility); higher compute limits; and public access to OpenAI's internal Astra successor. He notes any 1-2 of these would make a spectacular event.
