US daily AI usage doubled in six months, up from 8% to 19%

Surveys by Epoch AI and Ipsos show the share of US adults using AI almost daily more than doubled between March and August 2026, rising from 8% to 19%, while the share using it only once a week fell from 17% to 10%.
The data suggests AI adoption is shifting from occasional use toward everyday habit, with heavy users growing rapidly.
