Apple quietly shipped a lightweight agent harness in macOS 27.2: the fm CLI lets users connect to third-party model providers and chat with their models.
The author demonstrated fm talking to Qwen3.5 9B running locally inside LM Studio, showing macOS can now natively serve as an agent entry point for both local and cloud models.
