NYU-led WetRobo brings robots into the wet lab for autonomous experiments

WetRobo, led by Yuna Oikawa with Lerrel Pinto, Kojitsuda and collaborators from NYU Courant and UTokyo, targets the intersection of robot learning and AI for science: robots autonomously running wet-lab experiments.

Sherry Yang highlights the exciting framing of coding agents as the interface between foundation models and scientific instruments—moving from agents that reason about experiments to ones that physically carry them out and adapt along the way.
