UK scholar warns: most AI-exposed economy has almost no data center plan

Quoting a striking chart on Britain's AI predicament, the author argues UK AI discourse is stuck in cycles of deluded thinking. Britain is the world's most AI-exposed economy but has very little data center capacity and few credible expansion plans, with high energy costs as a further barrier. He published a paper outlining three strategies for the UK to build leverage over frontier AI, capture economic value, and prepare the state to adapt.
