Economist: AI has created ~1M US jobs, mostly building and powering data centers

Citing an Economist report that AI has so far created around 1 million new jobs in the US, the author argues most of these are blue-collar roles — construction, electrical and plumbing work to build, power and cool data centers. His advice: become an electrician or plumber, since data centers will need tradespeople for at least another 10 years.
