After digging through the official iOS 27 release, the author lists six practical updates Apple didn't highlight:

Alarm/ringtone volume split: disable "Match Ringtone Volume" in Settings → Sounds & Haptics to adjust alarms independently.
Photo tools: an improved "Clean Up" erases photobombers and reflections, while AI-powered "Extend Wallpaper" generates realistic backgrounds so small photos fit the lock screen.
Reframe (Time Machine Camera): Spatial Reframe lets you change a photo's angle and composition after shooting, using the uncropped edges.
Passwords automation: new Security feature automatically replaces weak or leaked credentials across sites — review the changes and keep it away from work accounts at first.
Subtle UI upgrades: dynamic timer tracks in the Dynamic Island and fluid "Liquid Glass" system sliders.
Siri AI beta: opt in via Settings → Siri → Try Siri AI (Beta); English-only, possibly waitlisted, but it can read your screen and draft texts from conversational context — proofread before sending.
