xAI launches Grok Voice Agent Builder: browser-based voice agents in under 2 minutes
aman_madaan · x · 2026-09-18
xAI has released a beta of Grok Voice Agent Builder, letting anyone build, tune and deploy human-like voice agents from a browser in under two minutes.
Key points:
- Natural conversations: voices handle interruptions, half-remembered order numbers and mid-call actions like checking records or policies, targeting support, sales, lead qualification, reception and scheduling use cases.
- Speed without dumbing down: the company claims sub-second responses with real reasoning, trained on hard real-world calls, robust to background noise and accents, in 25+ languages.
- Benchmarks: on xAI's τ-voice Bench leaderboard, Grok Voice Think Fast 1.0 scores 67.3%, ahead of Gemini 3.1 Flash Live (43.8%) and GPT Realtime 1.5.
