Surveil__Lance · x · 2026-09-18

Responding to a defense of EA against "scandal plagued" claims, SurveilLance argues Eliezer Yudkowsky has been hugely influential on AI X-Risk and on the "in the water" practices of many EAs, while his foremost acolyte Scott Alexander is explicitly EA. He concedes SBF was a real scandal but says the verdict needs a base rate for comparison.
